Sony Ericsson K810i

The slimline Samsung G600 Slider Phone joins its chunkier brethren: the LG KG920 and Nokia N95 as PLU's boasting high resoluion 5 Megapixel Cameras.

This dainty pixel powerhouse measures a very respectable 102 x 47.8 x 14.9mm and comes with a tactile keypad rather than the touch-sensitive controls of the Samsung Ultra Units.

The 5 megapixel auto-focus camera lets the user travel with a good-quality portable camera that can give acceptable prints even after slight cropping for better picture framing.

The only downside to anyone wanting a high resolution compact digital camera that doubles as a mobile phone is the lack of an optical zoom facility. The Samsung V770 with 7Mp Digital Camera and optical zoom may be an alternative choice.

Picture Taking Enthusiasts will be able to store their digital collection using the plug-in MicroSD™ memory cards and carry spare cards in a suitable mobile case.

The camera facilities can also be used for recording video at 15fps.

Fully charged battery life is up to 300 hours on standby with up to 3.5 hours of talk time.

The Samsung G600 provides high speed data transfer using the Edge technology but has no 3G facility. Wireless Connectivity is via built-in Bluetooth® technology. The samsung G600 also has a USB 2.0 connection to connect to any PC or USB compatible device.

Web browsing HTML, XHTML and WAP is catered for.

Mobile Ring Tones can be chosen using polyphonic sound, MP3 and AAC

The built in music player caters for for MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA formats. There is also a recordable FM radio.
